JAX INTRODUCES POLY-GUARD FG
New Food Grade Grease Technology for High Temperature and High Wear Machinery

MENOMONEE FALLS (April 24, 2001) – BEHNKE LUBRICANTS INC./JAX a leader in high-technology industrial, synthetic and food grade lubricants, announced today that it has revolutionized grease lubrication performance in food grade applications again with the introduction of its proprietary technology, PTFE containing lubricant, POLY-GUARD FG.

This new product is formulated for use on high temperature food processing equipment and other grease lubricated machinery such as high-speed can seamers and fillers subject to aseptic processing temperatures.

POLY-GUARD FG is the culmination of over two years of formulating and testing to develop a food grade grease that overcomes the problems of grease degradation and premature wear in the food and beverage industry’s can closers and related processing equipment.

POLY-GUARD FG utilizes proprietary co-thickener, anti-wear and bactericide technology. This technology helps eliminate the problems inherent with other food grade grease technology such as limited anti-wear performance, poor rust protection, difficult clean-up and thickener separation.

As a result of the new proprietary chemistry used to manufacture POLY-GUARD FG, JAX is providing a USDA H1 food grade grease that provides performance levels higher than existing food grade greases, and in most cases, higher than conventional non-food grade greases. POLY-GUARD FG is the first USDA H1 grease that can be used successfully on all equipment in a modern food processing and packaging plants – from the receiving dock to the shipping department and all processing and packaging equipment in between.
