Introduces PACKER OIL 22 For Meat and Poultry Plant Packers' Tech
Oil Applications
Lubricant Manufacturer Now Marketing
Packer Oil with Proprietary Micronox®
Technology
MENOMONEE
FALLS (October 14, 2002) – Behnke Lubricants Inc / JAX, a
leading manufacturer of lubricating oils and grease, and a specialist
in the development and production of food-grade lubricants, recently
added another innovation to its product offering. JAX has developed
Packer Oil 22 with Micronox® - a revolutionary, additized, food-grade
packers’ tech oil. Independently engineered and field tested by JAX,
this proprietary product is a groundbreaking advance for meat and poultry processing
plants nationwide.
Packers’ tech oils have been used for decades in the meatpacking
and poultry industries to protect processing equipment after sanitation,
and cause removal of process byproducts to be easier at the next
sanitation interval. Current industry standard packers’ tech
oils are oil refinery products - primarily technical grade white mineral
oils with minimal additive concentration, if any. Vitamin E is a
common antioxidant, and is usually the only additive used in these
products.
JAX Packer Oil 22 takes packers tech oil to the next generation. “By
incorporating our exclusive Micronox® technology
into a widely used product like a packers tech oil, JAX Packer Oil
22 provides benefits for meat and poultry processing plants that heretofore has been
unavailable,” stated Eric J. Peter, President and CEO of JAX.
“We have done extensive testing over the past six months to
verify that there is a very meaningful and measurable, immediate benefit to using our Packer Oil 22 versus non-treated
mineral oils in the modern plant environment.”
JAX
Packer Oil 22 is a premium priced product over standard packers
tech oils, but the company feels that the long-term benefits
to processors and ultimately consumers make this a minor consideration.
Peter stated, “This is a compounded product, as opposed to
a refinery flow product, so the extra step in the manufacture and additization process adds a premium. We do not feel the premium
is significant enough to prevent its wide use, however. This is
a large consumable in many plants, and we are committed to staying competitive.”
JAX is currently incorporating the benefits of Micronox® in
the majority of the food-grade lubricants throughout the JAX Product
Line. JAX has already experienced broad acceptance in all food and
beverage plants in varied applications such as gear oils, hydraulic
fluids, air-line oils, conveyor lubricants, compressor oils, and
aseptic processes.
