These oils are specifically compounded for use in Detroit Diesel heavy-duty, two-stroke diesel engines. The additive package is formulated for critical performance characteristics to prevent potential ring breakage and piston failure problems. The lower ash level formulation results in no exhaust port blocking, no excessive crown deposits, and greatly reduced ring land groove fill, thus eliminating ring breakage. Premium DD2 Motor Oils are formulated with Group II quality base oils, exclusive premium additive technology and dispersant VI improvers to dramatically increase engine component life.
